These are currently not yet available in certified sustainable form. However, AnQore is interested to explore the possibilities to provide it. Please get in touch with your sales representative to discuss the possibilities.

Since Econitrile has exactly the same product properties as our regular acrylonitrile, sample testing will provide the same results as AnQore’s acrylonitrile. If you are not using AnQore acrylonitrile today, we can send a sample of acrylonitrile for qualification purposes.

No. The sustainable raw materials are assigned based on mass balance. It is possible that the actual product that is supplied contains a fraction of the actual molecules from sustainable sources. It is also possible that this is not the case. We cannot guarantee that this is the case each time Econitrile is delivered.

No. Econitrile is produced in exactly the same production facilities, using the same process and equipment as regular acrylonitrile. The sustainable feedstocks are assigned on a mass balance-basis and cannot be identified physically in Econitrile.

Please get in touch with your sales representative for more information. In order to enable sustainability claims for Econitrile derivatives, ISCC PLUS certification is the first step.

This very much depends on availability of ISCC auditors and the preparation you can make in your organization. It took AnQore several months to organize the administrative process and get certified.

The naphtha cracker on site will not be able to adjust completely to sustainable feedstock on short notice. Technologically or even from a logistical point of view. Nevertheless, there is substantial scope for sustainable propylene. What is required is a few months of demand visibility in order to organize for the necessary feedstock.

Volumes are limited by the amount of non-fossil, sustainable feedstock we can source. As much as possible, the available volume of sustainable acrylonitrile will be matched with demand. Since Econitrile is produced and allocated on mass-balance basis, we link the amount of Econitrile directly with the required sustainable raw materials.

Biogas is amongst others produced from sludge, landfills, waste from plants, fruit and vegetables, and animal manure. The biogas is purified and dried and upgraded to natural gas quality. After all this the gas can be named green gas and can be used as a non-fossil alternative to natural gas. There are third parties that audit this process and ensure that this green gas is fed into the gas grid with accompanying certificates.

Econitrile would not be expensive in the sense that its cost would exceed the value. It is important to note that the cost to produce Econitrile are higher compared to regular acrylonitrile. This is the result of higher costs for the starting feedstocks of sustainable natural gas and sustainable naphtha. Please get in touch with your sales representative at AnQore to discuss detailed pricing for Econitrile.

Our plant will not change and the amount of Econitrile that we will produce depends on customer demand and feedstock availability. In practice this means that, although we are able to run the plant fully on the sustainable feedstocks as from today, we can only produce a limited amount of Econitrile.

Through mass balance allocation, we can make Econitrile available at any time of the year.

AnQore has executed the LCA analysis together with the University of Maastricht using approved ISO standard methods. Taking into account all the emissions from the acrylonitrile production process we are convinced that Econitrile leads to a 60% lower footprint. However, this LCA analysis been not been peer reviewed. If you need more information on our LCA then please get in contact with you AnQore sales representative and we can explore the best way to address this.

Get ready, get certified!

Take the first step and get ISCC PLUS certified

AnQore and our suppliers have gone through the process of ISCC PLUS certification. This process is relatively straightforward, but it requires a good preparation and multiple departments in the organization that are ready to support the implementation of the required mass balance accounting system.

If after visiting the ISCC PLUS website you would like to know more on what it means to go through the certification process than feel free to get in touch with us.
